Shilin

Synopsis:

The film focuses on street children and exposes the phenomenon of begging. The child is torn between his pride and his fear of his father. After helping an old man with his shopping bags, the man rewards him with a penny (Shilin), he is filled with joy until he drops it in the sewer…what follows, changes everything.

“يسلط الضوء على ظاهرة التسوُّل لدى الأطفال وعرض كواليس المتسّول. تسري أحداثه عندما يطرد أب طفله، ويهدده إن لم يأت بالمال. يمضي الطفل ضائعًا بين عزته وكرامته في أن يطلب من الآخرين، وخوفه من أبيه. يرى رجلًا عجوزًا يحمل الأكياس، فيجري الطفل نحوه ليساعده، يكافئه العم بالقليل من المال، فيمضي فرحًا، إلى أن يسقط منه الشلن.. ما يحدث بعد ذلك، يغير كل شيء.”
