A Camera on the Roof

Synopsis:

“This morning, I read in the newspaper about a taxi driver who decided to live on the roof of a building in Jaramana (a suburb of Damascus) despite the danger of wars countless missiles. This evening I watched « Taxi Tehran,» it’s an Iranian movie directed by Jafar Panahi; tomorrow, I will take what is left for me in my country, my camera, and head to the taxi driver.”

الملخص

“هذا الصباح، قرأت في الجريدة عن سائق تاكسي قرر العيش على سطح بناية في ضاحية جرمانا (احدى ضواحي دمشق) رغم خطر صواريخ الحرب التي تنهمر على المدينة بين الفينة والأخرى. هذا المساء شاهدت “”تاكسي طهران”” فلم ايراني من إخراج جعفر بناهي، وغدا سأقصد سائق التاكسي بصحبة اخر شيء تبقى لي في بلدي: كاميرتي.

Director Bio:

He Graduated from Ornina Institute of art/ Damascus, managed by Amal Omran and RaafatAlzagot Participated in several theatre and scenario workshops. He made his first short film in 2016, and he is keeping making new short films.”

في العام 2006 تخرج من معهد أورنينا للفنون / دمشق بإدارة أمل عمران ورأفت الزقوط. شارك في عدة ورش مسرحية وكذلك في العديد من ورش عمل السيناريو أنتج أول فيلم قصير له في عام 2016 ويواصل إنتاج أفلام قصيرة جديدة.
