Synopsis:

‘Nisha,’ from Bangladesh, lives in a rural village in Korea with her mother-in-law and her husband, Byeong-shik. She loves riding her bike to study Hangeul and wants to become more independent. However, her mother-in-law hopes that Nisha will have a child soon and devote herself to the family. One day, during a Jesa ceremony, the uncle tells her that she has to become more Korean and pressures her to have a baby quickly.

الملخص

تأتي نيشا من بنغلادش لتعيش في قرية ريفية في كوريا مع حماتها وزوجها بيونج شيك. تحب نيشا ركوب دراجتها للذهاب لدراسة الهانغول وتطمح في ان تصبح اكثر استقلالية. اما حماتها فتأمل ان تنجب نيشا طفلا عما قريب وان تكرس نفسها من اجل العائلة.في احد الايام وخلال مهرجان الجيزا ظل عمها يخبرها بالحاح انه يجب عليها ان تصبح كورية اكثر وظل يضغط عليها كي تسرع في انجاب الطفل

Director Bio:

He was born in 1974 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He moved to South Korea to work as a migrant worker in 1998. And since 2001, he started the human rights movement for migrant workers. Currently working as a cultural activist as a full-time t in the Asian Media Culture Factory.”
