Faycal Chibani, a film critic from Algeria, writes articles for many Algerian and Arab newspapers and websites and Always present at film festivals. He prepares and presents cinematic programs on radio and television, not to mention the completion of cinema-related documentaries. He participated in the membership of film juries, not to mention the organization of festivals Cinema in Algeria in the image of the Oran International Arab Film Festival.

فيصل شيباني ناقد سينمائي من الجزائر، كاتب مقالات في العديد من الجرائد والمواقع الجزائرية والعربية، ودائم الحضور في المهرجانات السينمائية.. يعد ويقدم برامج سينمائية عبر الإذاعة والتلفزيون ناهيك عن إنجاز وثائقيات متعلقة بالسينما.. شارك في عضوية لجان تحكيم سينمائية، ناهيك عن تنظيم المهرجانات السينمائية في الجزائر في صورة مهرجان وهران الدولي للفيلم العربي.

Tarek Ben Chaaben| Film scholar and scriptwriter

Film scholar and scriptwriter. He teaches sociology (media and cinema) at ESAC (University of Carthage). Has worked as a cultural editor for several Tunisian newspapers and magazines. As a scriptwriter, he collaborated with Ridha Behi, Nawfel Saheb Etabaa and Mohamed Damak. . General Delegate of the JCC 2010 and founder of “Vues sur les arts”( festival for films about arts). Head of Tunisian film library (21/22). He published several papers on film and média and a book on tunisian film social history.

طارق بن شعبان | معلم سينمائي وكاتب سيناريو  

طارق بن شعبان معلم سينمائي وكاتب سيناريو يدرس علم الاجتماع (الإعلام والسينما) في ESAC (جامعة قرطاج). عمل كمحرر ثقافي في عدة صحف ومجلات تونسية. ككاتب سيناريو تعاون مع رضا باهي ونوفل صاحب عتابا ومحمد دامك. المندوب العام لـ JCC 2010 ومؤسس “Vues sur les Arts” (مهرجان أفلام عن الفنون). رئيس مكتبة السينما التونسية (21/22). نشر عدة أوراق في السينما والإعلام وكتاب عن التاريخ الاجتماعي للفيلم التونسي.

 

 

Jana Wehbi | Filmmaker – Producer
Jana Wehbe studied filmmaking at “Université Saint Joseph” in Beirut and oriental modern singing at the Lebanese National High Conservatory. In 2009, she co-founded ‘The Attic’ productions with like-minded film professionals. Jana debut producing career started with “2 1⁄2” winner of FIPRESCI Award at DIFF 2010. She went on producing feature documentaries and fiction films along with line-producing several co-productions. In 2011, Jana joined the Doha Film Institute as part of the institute’s annual festivals team where she serves as Projects in development industry manager. She also acts as instructor in labs and workshops and as professor teaching producing academically. Jana acted as the Arab Film Institute’s representative in Lebanon. In addition to her expertise in music artist management, Jana has been diversifying her interests and is bringing productions to theater and musical stages. Jana was recently selected amongst 4 other Arab female filmmakers to receive the 1st NETFLIX-AFAC Equity fund. She is currently REEF Festival Executive director (Rural Encounters on Environment and Films).

جانا وهبه | صانعة أفلام ومنتجة

درست جانا وهبه صناعة الأفلام في “جامعة القديس يوسف” في بيروت والغناء الشرقي الحديث في المعهد العالي الوطني اللبناني. في عام 2009 ، شاركت في تأسيس “The Attic” للإنتاج مع محترفي أفلام متشابهين في التفكير. بدأت مسيرتها المهنية الأولى في الإنتاج بفوزها بجائزة FIPRESCI “2 1⁄2” في مهرجان دبي السينمائي 2010. واصلت إنتاج أفلام وثائقية وأفلام روائية إلى جانب إنتاج العديد من الإنتاجات المشتركة. في عام 2011 انضمت جنى إلى معهد الدوحة للأفلام كجزء من فريق المهرجانات السنوية للمعهد حيث تعمل كمديرة مشاريع في صناعة التطوير، كما أنها تعمل كمعلمة في المعامل وورش العمل وأستاذة تدريس الإنتاج الأكاديمي. عملت جنى كممثلة لمؤسسة الفيلم العربي في لبنان، بالإضافة إلى خبرتها في إدارة الفنانين الموسيقيين، عملت جنى على تنويع اهتماماتها وجلب الإنتاج إلى المسرح والمسارح الموسيقية. تم اختيارها مؤخرًا من بين 4 صانعات أفلام عربيات أخريات لتلقي NETFLIX-AFAC. تشغل حاليًا منصب المدير التنفيذي لمهرجان REEF.

Mohamed Tarek | Film critic, Festival programmer

Mohamed Tarek is an Egyptian film critic, festival programmer, and arts manager based between Cairo and Dublin. Tarek works as deputy artistic director for Cairo International Film Festival, Short films programmer at Dublin International Film Festival and programmer at Manssat Film Festival. In addition, he works as Cinema for Development Project Manager at El Nahda Association, Selection Committee member at Durban Film Content Shop, Consultant at Medfest Egypt and Goethe Institute Cairo. Tarek is an Alumnus of Beirut Locarno Industry Academy and Durban Talents, and he was selected to among various juries such as DOK Leipzig and Luxor African film festival FIPRESCI juries, and Arab Cinema Center Jury for best European film.

محمد طارق | ناقد سينمائي ومبرمج مهرجانات

محمد طارق ناقد سينمائي مصري ومبرمج مهرجان ومدير فنون مقيم بين القاهرة ودبلن. يعمل طارق نائباً للمدير الفني لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي ، ومبرمج أفلام قصيرة في مهرجان دبلن السينمائي الدولي، ومبرمجاً في مهرجان منصات السينمائي، بالإضافة إلى ذلك يعمل كمدير مشروع السينما من أجل التنمية في جمعية النهضة، وعضو لجنة الاختيار في متجر محتوى أفلام ديربان ، ومستشار في Medfest مصر ومعهد جوته بالقاهرة. طارق هو أحد خريجي أكاديمية بيروت لوكارنو الصناعية ومواهب ديربان ، وقد تم اختياره من بين لجان تحكيم مختلفة مثل DOK Leipzig ومهرجان الأقصر السينمائي الأفريقي FIPRESCI ، ولجنة تحكيم مركز السينما العربية لأفضل فيلم أوروبي.

سيلين روستان | مُنسقة ومبرمجة مهرجانات

عملت سيلين كمنسقة للأفلام القصيرة وبطلتها لأكثر من نصف عقد من الزمن ، حيث قامت بالبرمجة والكتابة لموقع الويب الشهير Short of the Week ، حيث قامت بالترويج بشغف للمخرجين والأفلام الخاصة بهم. تعمل حاليًا كمبرمجة في SXSW و Palm Springs ShortFest، وقد قامت أيضًا ببرمجة مهرجان سان فرانسيسكو السينمائي الدولي ، ومهرجان بالم سبرينغز السينمائي الدولي ومهرجان دبلن السينمائي الدولي، وكانت في لجنة عرض مهرجان تورونتو السينمائي الدولي خلال الفترة القليلة الماضية سنة وتولى توزيع كتالوج شركة الإنتاج الفرنسية Films Grand Huit. لقد حضرت العديد من المهرجانات والأسواق السينمائية الدولية كعضو في لجنة التحكيم أو متحدثة في هذا المجال، لتوجيه صانعي الأفلام نحو مساراتهم لتحقيق المزيد من النجاح.

 

 

 

Hala Galal | Writer, Film director and Producer

Hala Galal is a Filmmaker (writer, director and producer). She is the founder and executive director of SEMAT Production & Distribution supporting Aternative/Independent Cinema in Egypt. She has led SEMAT, a cultural hub with links to a number of civil society organizations involved in the creative sector and youth as well as women organizations in Egypt/the Arab Region. She directed more than 15 films and produced more than 10. Her long documentary ‘Women ChitChat’ won the Silver Prize at the Arab Rotterdam Film Festival in 2005. Her Latest documentary “From Cairo” won Best Non-Fiction Film Award in the Horizons of Arab Cinema competition at Cairo International Film Festival 2021, Best documentary in Malmo Arab Film Festival 2021, Best Documentary in Jerusalem Arab Film Festival 2021, Mention from Anhar a network for Human Rights Films Jordan. Her documentaries always supported women, children and marginalized in the Egyptian society. Since 2002, she initiated independent cinematic education opportunities for young talents. These open workshops provided young potential filmmakers with basics of filmmaking, and helped create networks to support independent filmmaking in Egypt and the Arab region. Her training experience involved workshop management, training methodology and curriculum building. She is a member of Jury in several film festivals. Also, a guest speaker/lecturer in several Universities in Egypt, conferences and workshops in several (National /Regional /International) film festivals promoting/supporting alternative cinema. She wrote several articles about cinema & women in the newspaper “El Hayaht” published in London, and in “The Seventh Art” published in Egypt. She is active in supporting several causes concerning Egyptian women through her films, articles and lectures. She is defending the freedom of creativity and speech and interested in the problems of censorship and the political and social pressure.

 أوزجي كالافاتو | منسقة وكاتبة وأكاديمية في جامعة أمستردام

هالة جلال مخرجة أفلام (كاتبة ومخرجة ومنتجة). هي المؤسس والمدير التنفيذي لشركة SEMAT للإنتاج والتوزيع التي تدعم السينما البديلة / المستقلة في مصر. قادت SEMAT، وهو مركز ثقافي له روابط مع عدد من منظمات المجتمع المدني المشاركة في القطاع الإبداعي والشباب وكذلك المنظمات النسائية في مصر / المنطقة العربية. أخرجت أكثر من 15 فيلماً وأنتجت أكثر من 10. فاز فيلمها الوثائقي الطويل “دردشة نساء” بالجائزة الفضية في مهرجان روتردام السينمائي العربي عام 2005. حصل فيلمها الوثائقي الأخير “من القاهرة” على جائزة أفضل فيلم غير روائي في مسابقة آفاق السينما العربية في مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي 2021 ، أفضل فيلم وثائقي في مهرجان مالمو للفيلم العربي 2021، أفضل فيلم وثائقي في مهرجان القدس للفيلم العربي 2021، تنويه من أنهار شبكة أفلام حقوق الإنسان الأردنية. لطالما دعمت أفلامها الوثائقية النساء والأطفال والمهمشين في المجتمع المصري، منذ عام 2002 بدأت فرصًا تعليمية سينمائية مستقلة للمواهب الشابة. زودت ورش العمل المفتوحة هذه صانعي الأفلام المحتملين الشباب بأساسيات صناعة الأفلام، وساعدت في إنشاء شبكات لدعم صناعة الأفلام المستقلة في مصر والمنطقة العربية. تضمنت خبرتها التدريبية إدارة ورش العمل ومنهجية التدريب وبناء المناهج. وهي عضوة في لجنة التحكيم في العديد من المهرجانات السينمائية. أيضًا ضيف متحدث / محاضر في العديد من الجامعات في مصر، ومؤتمرات وورش عمل في العديد من المهرجانات السينمائية (الوطنية / الإقليمية / الدولية) التي تعزز / تدعم السينما البديلة. كتبت عدة مقالات عن السينما والمرأة في صحيفة “الحياة” الصادرة في لندن، وفي “الفن السابع” الصادرة في مصر، تنشط في دعم عدة قضايا تخص المرأة المصرية من خلال أفلامها ومقالاتها ومحاضراتها. تدافع عن حرية التعبير والكلام وتهتم بمشاكل الرقابة والضغوط السياسية والاجتماعية.

Tanja Holms | Journalist, Filmmaker

Tanja Holm was born in Kosovo 1981. She has a Master of Fine Arts from Stockholm University of the Arts, where she also studied documentary cinematography. For five years she lived in Yemen and wrote the book Yemen is good! She directs documentaries and animations, among other themes about the war in Yemen. Her work has been screened at festivals and galleries both in Sweden and abroad.

تانيا هولمز | صحفية، مؤلفة وصانعة أفلام

ولدت تانيا هولم في كوسوفو عام 1981، وهي حاصلة على درجة الماجستير في الفنون الجميلة من جامعة ستوكهولم للفنون، حيث درست أيضًا التصوير السينمائي الوثائقي. عاشت خمس سنوات في اليمن وكتبت كتاب “اليمن جيدة” تقوم بإخراج أفلام وثائقية ورسوم متحركة، من بين مواضيع أخرى حول الحرب في اليمن. عُرضت أعمالها في مهرجانات وصالات عرض في السويد وخارجها.

 

Wajdi Mohammed Abdo Al-Ahdal is a novelist, playwright and screenwriter. Born in Yemen, 1973. He has published five novels, seven collections of short stories and one play. His novel “Country Without Sky” has been translated into English, Russian, Turkish and Italian, “Mountain Boats” into French, and “Donkey Among Songs” into Italian. Books published by him in the field of script: The Enchanted Song, a scenario for a fictional film, Abadi Center for Studies and Publishing, Sana’a, 2006. The poet, short film script, Abadi Center for Studies and Publishing, Sana’a, 2012. Get your hand out of your pocket and write a scenario, Principles of Screenwriting, Dar Anala’a in Cairo and Dar Naqsh in Sana’a, 2021. -The novel “Country Without Sky” was turned into a movie titled “Sama”, written and directed by (Ammar Al-Rabsi), starring (Mustafa Safrani) and (Nassima Louail), Algeria, 2014. -Yemeni TV (Satellite Channel One) showed him a drama series entitled (The Team), and he participated in writing the script in cooperation with four other writers, February 2013. – A Land Without Jasmine was staged at Battersea Arts Centre, London, from 4-6 April 2019. The play is based on the English translation of the novel “A Land Without Jasmine” of the same title. The play is directed by Moamen Sweitat, starring Sophia El-Assir. – He wrote the script for the TV series “Water of Gold” in collaboration with Yousra Abbas and Muhammad Al-Akhshar, produced by DotNotion Company, directed by Hashem Hammoud Hashem, and it is expected to be shown soon.

  وجدي الأهدل | روائي و كاتب مسرحي و سينارست

وجدي محمد عبده الأهدل، روائي وكاتب مسرحي وسيناريست. مواليد اليمن، 1973. صدرت له خمس روايات وسبع مجموعات قصصية ومسرحية واحدة. تُرجمت روايته “بلاد بلا سماء” إلى الإنجليزية والروسية والتركية والإيطالية، ورواية “قوارب جبلية” إلى الفرنسية، ورواية “حمار بين الأغاني” إلى الإيطالية. الكتب التي صدرت له في مجال السيناريو: الأغنية المسحورة، سيناريو فيلم روائي، مركز عبادي للدراسات والنشر، صنعاء، 2006. الشاعر، سيناريو فيلم قصير، مركز عبادي للدراسات والنشر، صنعاء، 2012. أخرج يدك من جيبك واكتب سيناريو، مبادئ كتابة السيناريو، دار عناوين بالقاهرة ودار نقش بصنعاء، 2021. حُولت رواية “بلاد بلا سماء” إلى فيلم سينمائي بعنوان (سما) سيناريو وإخراج (عمار الربصي) وبطولة (مصطفى سفراني) و(نسيمة لوعيل)، الجزائر، 2014. عرض له التلفزيون اليمني (القناة الفضائية الأولى) مسلسلاً درامياً بعنوان (الفريق) وشارك في كتابة السيناريو بالتعاون مع أربعة كتاب آخرين، فبراير 2013. عرضت مسرحية (A Land Without Jasmine) على خشبة مركز باترسي للفنون بلندن، من 4-6 إبريل 2019. المسرحية مقتبسة من الترجمة الإنجليزية لرواية “بلاد بلا سماء” التي تحمل العنوان ذاته. المسرحية من إخراج مؤمن سويطات، وبطولة صوفيا الأسير. كتب سيناريو المسلسل التلفزيوني “ماء الذهب” بالاشتراك مع يسرى عباس ومحمد الأخشر، إنتاج شركة دوت نوشن، إخراج هاشم حمود هاشم، وبانتظار أن يُعرض قريبا.

Nadia Ahmed | Presenter and writer

Nadia Ahmad is a media professional with a career intersecting TV, Cinema, Theatre and activism. She is the creator and writer of the first Netflix Original Series from Kuwait “The Exchange”. She was a former presenter of the leading talk show in the Middle East Kalam Nawaem on MBC. She started her career as a playwright and theatre producer. She is a founder of the non profit arts academy LOYAC Academy of Performing Arts. Nadia earned her Bachelors degree in Journalism from Syracuse University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California.

ناديا أحمد | إعلامية ومؤلفة كويتية  

نادية أحمد محترفة إعلامية لها مهنة تتقاطع مع التلفزيون والسينما والمسرح والنشاط. هي مؤلفة وكاتبة أول سلسلة أصلية على Netflix من الكويت “The Exchange”. كانت مذيعة سابقة للبرنامج الحواري الرائد في الشرق الأوسط كلام نواعم على MBC. بدأت حياتها المهنية كاتبة مسرحية ومنتجة مسرحية، وهي مؤسسة أكاديمية الفنون المسرحية LOYAC Academy غير الربحية. حصلت نادية على درجة البكالوريوس في الصحافة من جامعة سيراكيوز وماجستير في الفنون الجميلة من جامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا.
