About Ayman El-Amir :
Ayman El-Amir is an Egyptian filmmaker and script consultant. Some of his work includes directing the feature documentary Happy Endings, which premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in 2016; and producing the feature film The Trap, which was selected for official competition at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival Critics’ Week. Through his production company, Cairo-based Felucca Films, Prince works to help filmmakers explore and shape their voices, producing unique and innovative feature films and documentaries, with a particular focus on new talent and contemporary social issues. Al-Amir has worked as a script consultant for many programs and workshops for institutions including the Torino Film Development Laboratory, the Short Film Corner at the Cannes International Film Festival, the Robert Bosch Foundation Film Prize, the Atlas Workshop of the Marrakech International Film Festival, and the Royal Film Commission of Jordan. He also participated in many selection and arbitration committees; Including the Sheffield Film Festival Market 2021 Projects Selection Committee, the Carthage Producers Network 2020 Jury, and the Cairo Film Connection 2022 Selection Committee. He also provides private consultancy for film projects and leads several international script development workshops and panel discussions. In 2016, he established the Mahd Film Development Programme; It is a screenwriting development program based in Cairo, and open to filmmakers working on Arab film projects and Arab-European co-productions. He is also supervising the Dahshur program for script development, which belongs to genre cinema. Al-Amir holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking, with a specialization in Production and Screenwriting. In 2013, he collaborated with the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts to establish the first film program of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Effat Women’s University. He is a graduate of EAVE Producer and Film Independent Documentary Workshop

أيمن الأمير هو صانع أفلام مصري ومستشار للسيناريو. بعض من أعماله يتضمن إخراج الفيلم الوثائقي الطويل “نهايات سعيدة”، الذي عرض لأول مرة في مهرجان الفيلم الوثائقي الدولي بأمستردام (ادفا) عام ٢٠١٦؛ وإنتاج الفيلم الروائي “الفخ”، الذي تم اختياره للمسابقة الرسمية في أسبوع النقاد في مهرجان كان السينمائي لعام ٢٠١٩. يعمل الأمير من خلال شركته للإنتاج، فلوكة فيلمز، ومقرها القاهرة، لمساعدة صانعي الأفلام على استكشاف وتشكيل أصواتهم الشخصية، وإنتاج أفلام روائية ووثائقية فريدة ومبتكرة، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على المواهب الجديدة والقضايا الاجتماعية المعاصرة. عمل الأمير كمستشار للسيناريو في العديد من البرامج وورش العمل المؤسسات بما في ذلك: مختبر تورينو لتطوير الأفلام، وزاوية الأفلام القصيرة في مهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي، وجائزة الفيلم لمؤسسة روبرت بوش، وورشة أطلس لمهرجان مراكش السينمائي الدولي، والهيئة الملكية الأردنية للأفلام. كما شارك في العديد من لجان الاختيار والتحكيم؛ بما في ذلك لجنة اختيار مشاريع سوق مهرجان شيفلد السينمائي ٢٠٢١، ولجنة تحكيم شبكة منتجي قرطاج 2020، ولجنة اختيار ملتقى القاهرة السينمائي ٢٠٢٢. يقدم الأمير أيضًا استشارات خاصة لمشاريع الأفلام، ويقود العديد من ورش العمل وحلقات المناقشة الدولية لتطوير السيناريو. وفي عام 2016، أسس برنامج مهد لتطوير الأفلام؛ وهو برنامج لتطوير كتابة السيناريو، مقره في القاهرة، ومفتوح لصانعي الأفلام الذين يعملون على مشاريع الأفلام العربية والإنتاج العربي الأوروبي المشترك. كما يقوم بالاشراف على برنامج دهشور لتطوير السيناريو التى تنتمي الى سينما النوع. الأمير حاصل على درجة ماجستير الفنون الرفيعة في صناعة الأفلام، بتخصص الانتاج وكتابة السيناريو. وقد تعاون في عام 2013 مع كلية الفنون السينمائية بجامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا لتأسيس أول برنامج لدراسة السينما من نوعه في المملكة العربية السعودية فى جامعة عفت النسائية. وهو خريج برنامجEAVE Producer ، وورشة الأفلام الوثائقية لبرنامج Film Independent.
