About Sheyma Buali:

Sheyma Buali is a producer and programmer with a focus on stories about the Arab world. She has been lead programmer for BBC Arabic Festival (short films and documentaries), the London Palestine Film Festival, and London’s Syrian Arts & Culture Festival. She has also curated programmes for Eye Museum in Amsterdam, Hay Festival Abu Dhabi, Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival, among others. Currently, at BBC News Arabic, she is a producer of Art for Life, a TV programme platforming artists reflecting on the social and political realities that surround them.
